A Busy 24 Hours (Part 3)

Journal Entry Date: February 18, 1997 (Part 3 of 5)

(Note: Due to the length of this particular journal entry, I’m posting it in five parts).

“Some things God has done in the last 24+ hours:

3 ) ‘Dave’ and I are holding each other more accountable. Praise God for putting the two of us together… We are so much alike!

Dave suggested we set some goals for the week. My goals are to spend time every day this week in study and prayer… and to be more disciplined… and that God would light a fire in my heart to learn more.

I must be more prayerful, disciplined, and direct in discipling/mentoring K.B. It has not gone well so far… but I’ve not been in God’s will very much recently either.”

Author’s Note: I was truly blessed that God led ‘Dave’ to mentor me as a young believer and to help hold me accountable spiritually. He has since gone on to be with the Lord, but the impact and the spiritual legacy he left behind is priceless. Well done, my friend! May I be found as faithful when my days here are done.

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, are you investing your life in other believers? If not, please ask the Lord to lead you to someone. Be a ‘Dave’ to someone else, and make an impact for the glory of God and for His kingdom!
